Six cassette tapes containing one long field recording (312 minutes) made at night on a bank of the Colorado River with the addition of pure tones sounding as chords and descending along the harmonic series from the 46th to the 29th partial of a 100 Hz fundamental which simultaneously track the descending frequency changes in the sounds of the insects in the field recording. The work includes scores to follow along and/or accompany the playback of the tapes with friction-derived noises. edition of 36
