Books of Hours
A series of books as experimental scores containing a list of 1,440 times spanning the 24-hour clock. The project refers to its namesake: Medieval books of hours. The books connect times of day with musical time but leave the interpretation of these times entirely to the reader. As a manner of practice, each book is made for/given to a different person. open edition of 25, each unique in content
I have developed different approaches to reading the work, such as a guide for making field recordings to a performance with two dictaphones, shortwave radio, watch, and metronome.
